A LIFE GOD REWARDS – A Seminar for Youth Workers
“Judge not lest ye be judged!”, “Don’t judge me, God is my judge”, “Who are you to condemn me”. Often we hear these types of statements from Christians but what do we really know about God’s word in regards to judgement? The truth is that we respond to people with these statements but then we are sometimes assuming since Christ died on the cross for our sins, then we will not be judged. But even Christians will be judged by Jesus.
On April 26 at the True Love Waits office there will be a seminar to help youth workers better understand the meaning of judgement in the bible. Yes, our faith is founded in the gospel story
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit. 1 Peter 3:18
Yes, you are freely justified by what Christ did on the cross. Yes, your sins are forgiven. But remember, Jesus did say store up rewards for yourself in heaven. So, there is something important about what you do now and your actions will be examined. Jesus determines your salvation but you determine your rewards. Join us on April 26th and learn more about A Life God Rewards with International Speakers, A free book from Randy Alcorn and Lunch.
We were judged in Christ on the cross 2,000 years ago. However, as Christians, we will be judged according to our works (2 Cor. 5:10) with varying degrees of rewards, but remember, the judgment of our works does not affect our salvation.
The bible also teaches us – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil 2 Cor 5:10
At this Youth Workers Seminars you will learn about the judgement of ALL BELIEVERS. But you may be wondering, if we are all going to heaven then what difference does it make what eternal good that we do if in the end we all receive grace equally? That’s a great question and the seminar will address exactly that question and others.
Somehow, as Christians we have misunderstood grace and works. It seems to us that since we are not saved by our works, we are afraid to encourage people to measure their good works. But the bible tells us in many places – Labor, Run, Strain, Work, and Do in regards to good works. Yes it is for the Glory of God but is also for our reward. And this is a Life God Rewards.
