Do You Know Someone?

Isolated. Hopeless. Abandoned. Lonely.  We all know the feeling…

..when a loved one walks away

..when a friend we trust betrays us

..when we hurt and nobody understands

..when we just want to shout to let it all out

..when people are around, but love is nowhere to be found

..when we think we have it all, yet inside we feel empty

At the end of the day, you stand in front of the mirror and say, “I wish I had never been born.” We’ve all been there. But we are alive—created in this world for a purpose, living because we are loved, surviving because SOMEONE cares. Yes, there is SOMEONE. The truth is we are never alone..

while everyone walks away, SOMEONE is willing to stay

while faced with betrayal, there is still SOMEONE we can trust

while we think nobody understands when we hurt, SOMEONE can heal our wound

while we shout it out, SOMEONE is willing to listen

while you can’t find love, SOMEONE will bring you true love

while you feel empty, SOMEONE can fill the void

That Someone is Christ. The Ultimate Someone who gave us life by giving up his own. Not just a life, but a beautiful life specially planned, crafted, and laid out for each of us. He is our Friend, our Comfort, our Rescue, our ALL. Oftentimes we find our identity in men, the media or in the mirror, but it is only in Christ do we find our true identity. He knows you, He is aware of what you are going through every single day, and He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to bring you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) His plans are as beautiful as the person He made you to be.

That someone can be your brother and sister in Christ. God has a plan for all of us and part of that plan is that we walk in community with others. There is a brother or sister who is willing to walk with you in the journey. A person who, like you—like us—faces trials and temptations but has committed to take the road to eternal life. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10) If you’re looking for that someone, the True Love Waits family is here to welcome you. Together, let us find strength in Christ.

That someone can be you. Be an ear to the other who is unheard. Reach out your hand to them who longs for God’s loving touch. Be the eyes for those who feel lost. Be the feet that will jump for joy when the other is bursting with praises! Be a brother or a sister to another beautiful person—in good times and in bad. Celebrate life together for it is while walking together that we bring victory to those who have not yet been born to God’s saving grace.

Our prayer is that you find the courage to find that SOMEONE, be that SOMEONE, and accept the ULTIMATE SOMEONE in your life right now. There is a wonderful journey ahead of you, ahead of us. Hop in and let’s ride together.
