Be The Woman God Made You To Be
We live in a world where it is not difficult to see that Satan’s lies have been accepted by mankind. One of the worst lies accepted by our society is that girls should please people in order to gain attention and approval. Unfortunately, many young women have been deceived by and are believing this lie. What can we do to tell the whole world that we want to be a woman God made us to be? Jamie Grace has shared us insights on how to be God’s girl through her song entitled, “God girl.”
A GOD GIRL HAS EYES FIXED ON JESUS
When David felt insecure, he fixed his eyes on something other than himself. Ha gazed at the Lord’s beauty. He said in Psalm 27:4, “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” David fixed his eyes on Jesus and took his eyes off himself. Similarly, a God girl is captured by the Lord’s awesomeness. She is caught up by His beauty that is why she could express the heart of Jesus to others. The Father’s unconditional love reflects and beams on her face.
A GOD GIRL KNOWS HOW TO WAIT
It is true that waiting is hard, especially that we live in a culture demanding the world to “give it now.” However, God does say, “Be still and know that I am God.” God is in control of everything; just sit back, relax, wait to be pursued. But waiting on the Lord does not always refer to a passive process. Actively pursuing holiness and having a heart that is seeking God daily is a wonderful journey we must all embark on.
A GOD GIRL MAKES A DIFFERENCE AND STANDS OUT
The heart of a God girl has an intense passion for the Lord. Jesus’ presence in her life is what makes her different. Her lips speak of the great things He has done. A God girl has been set apart from this world and heeds to her purpose in life. She shares the gospel to the lost and a good example to others. She pleases the Lord in everything she does. She longs to please Him in her actions and cares deeply about the motivations behind her actions. A God girl is far different from the other girls. She has a face that draws someone to Christ, has eyes that reflects the love of God, and has a smile that brings comfort to a hurting soul. She stands out because the love of the Father radiates through her life.
God girls, the Lord made our hearts for a lot more than just settling for what the world has to offer. The Lord loves you and wants to have a life with you. Every day is a new chance to keep on walking closer to Him. Let us live our lives being the girl, the woman that God made us to be.. “from the top of our head to the soles of our feet.”
