This news urges us even more to continue raising awareness on how vulnerable men and women are when it comes to the temptations of pornography. There is an underlying problem that needs to be resolved, and always, it brings us to the question, “Who (or what) can satisfy our longings?” For it is in this crucial process of searching for that “Someone” or “Something” to fill the void do we find ourselves choosing between what is temporary and what is eternal.

While our longing to fill the void or our need to feed our curiosity can easily be met with just a single a click to a porn site–or other forms of entertainment for that matter, we could be setting ourselves up for a long-term destruction. Before we know it, the 14 minutes or so we spend on pornography will lead us to making more decisions that can alter our entire way of living, including our view of who we are and what are bodies are designed for. Choosing temporary satisfaction can only make us thirstier, always wanting for more.

Meanwhile, there is Someone who promised that we will never again be thirsty with the water He gives.

“Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” (John 4:13-14)

The Living Water does not require us to have Internet access. No technology needed. All we need is a heart that will accept Christ in our lives and a decision to connect to His love.

God’s love is a gift freely given to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross… FOR YOU and ME. Yes, this only shows that we are too precious to spend 14 minutes and 20 seconds looking for something else, for only His love can ever satisfy.
