True Love Waits Trainer’s training to 25 sponsored families, non sponsored families and staff. This activity was facilitated by staff of True Love Waits Philippines led by Franco Ferrer. This aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of children to facilitate the True love waits session to students in target schools in the ADP. As a result, the identified children were able to learn to be part of the TLW sessions to support the Program staff to disseminate information in valuing their singleness in their very young age and focus on education in able to finish and have better future.
True Love Waits Session – there were 160 students attended the TLW session, the activity was facilitated by sponsored children and non sponsored children whom have been part of the trainer’s training. The activity was very fruitful to young children; it aims to enlighten the minds and heart of children to prioritize their education rather than to be in love at the very young age. True love can wait and will come at the right time. It is better to wait rather than to be in love and commit mistake such as early marriage that would lead in sacrificing her better for a life time. It also includes HIV-AIDS awareness and also symptoms/ consequences of pre-marital sex at the young age.
It was conducted at Tropical Village National High School, General Trias last June 29, 2009 on 3 sections of 2nd year high school!
