Do you prefer to get married or stay single forever? Are you wondering who’s the right man or woman that God has created for you as lifetime partner and yet you’re almost losing time on waiting? Maaring ito ang mga katanungan mo sa iyong sarili at sa Diyos.
In 1Corinthians 7:8-9 Paul stated, “It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.” He also said, “Each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that (1Corinthians 7:7).” Yet sometimes we do not understand why there are some people who have decided to stay single forever and serve God faithfully. Sabihin na natin na “GIFT” ito ng Diyos sa mga piling tao lamang. Some of us have this thoughts that my (future) partner would be my inspiration and would support me in serving Him faithfully.
Whether we ought to get married or not, let us ask God for the right answers for He knows what is good for us for those who love Him more than themselves.

“Patience is a virtue.” So many times I’ve heard this phrase uttered in jest. It is, indeed, a virtue but (sadly) many of us, young and not-so-young alike, tend to it take for granted. Perhaps it all has to do with the F word: FAITH. (What were you thinking?!)
At 29, I’ve already known how it is to be “coupled.” Recently though, I’ve been re-learning what it’s like to be purposefully single. Which one’s better? Well, each has its own set of pluses and minuses and for now, I’d rather say being single’s better. It offers me an avenue to prepare myself to be deserving of the Ideal Other that I’ve been praying for. Sometimes though, I tend to question God’s time frame. And when that happens, I just tell myself, “Be patient. ‘Everything on earth has its own time and its own season.’ [Ecclesiastes 3:1].” Mm-hmm. ;’)
I’ve always wondered about this so-called “gift” of celibacy because I didn’t think I had it. And I’m still single at the age of…secret….
I don’t have anything deep and profound to say except live your life right NOW for Jesus. He will tell you what will please Him more–to remain single or to get married. Find your highest pleasure in Him.
The most perfect partner in the world is still nothing compared to a vibrant, exciting love relationship with Jesus.
Thanks Joy, I know Rick will appreciate your thoughts. And about your secret age….

1st time ko mag-comment dito. Love your site.
Well, ako since I was young i used to say I feel like I don’t want to get married.
Parang mas gusto ko lang na magtrabaho and to serve people such as helping for charities especially for children.
Ngayon 20 nako, ayan parin ang nasa isip ko. I never had a boyfriend since then though I had many suitors before I just dumped them because I didn’t feel the same way as they did. I feel peace and harmony when I’m alone. And also enjoy friends and family. I’d love to help people than to get involved in a romantic relationship. I don’t expect that someone will wait and love me it doesn’t really matter to me.
Ang weird ko noh, pero ganyan talaga ako.
Pero hindi pa rin natin masasabi sa kung ano talaga ang plan niya para sa atin..
bahala nalang si Lord sa akin.
